Archive of 2025 Festival
We held our first folk festival on 27 September 2025.
It was very successful, and raised £500 for our local charity One Roof, Leicester. Thank you to everyone who made this happen.
Find below information about our first FOLK FESTIVAL ON 27TH SEPTEMBER 2025 IN LEICESTER, UK

For those who don’t know Rich, he is to be found at many of the gigs in Leicester, and he writes really interesting posts about what he has seen and heard. Thank you Rich.
We will have 4 locations in use on the day, families are welcome at all of them :
VICTORIA PARK, LEICESTER where we be using the BANDSTAND and for a short time we will have Red Leicester Choir performing at the top of PEACE WALK with some suitable songs in these troubled times. It’s a public park so bring your own seating if you need it.
The QUAKER MEETING HOUSE , 16 Queens Road, Leicester LE2 1WP will also be used. It is hoped some Tea/ Coffee and snacks will be available.
Our main venue throughout the day will be The REGENT SPORTS & SOCIAL CLUB, 102 Regent Road, Leicester LE1 7DA. The Regent is the home of Common Folk Club. For our festival event everyone will be welcome. They have a licensed bar and some food will be available. Our evening concert will be held here.
Remember because we love FOLK MUSIC and FOLK TRADITIONS this great Festival is free to attend at all the venues because we want you to enjoy the performances and maybe join us or your local folk club in the future.
We will be collecting donations, if you can afford to give one. We will be collecting to raise money for a great local charity ONE ROOF LEICESTER, who do a wonderful job of helping homeless folks to find their way back to stability and we also hope to raise funds to have a festival next year and make this FOLK FESTIVAL a feature of Leicester’s future.
